Glenside, Pennsylvania, Job Description: The School of Global Business is seeking to fill a nine-month, non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in Marketing. The School of Global Business is one of Arcadia University’s specialty schools and colleges. The School, as does the University, serves racially and ethnically-diverse students from different socio-economic backgrounds, and first-generation college students. Using a comprehensive curriculum and experiential learning environment, the School is dedicated to developing socially responsible decision makers and critical thinkers who can communicate effectively. The School of Global Business prepares students to be competent business professionals who are informed by a global perspective. The pedagogical approach of SGB is rooted in a solid liberal arts foundation and complemented by experiential learning and corporate field experiences. The School of Global Business, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), offers Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, International Business and Culture, Marketing, and Sport Management. Students can pursue concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Management or Minors in eight areas. All business courses at Arcadia are taught as 4-credit courses. Arcadia’s Master’s Degree in Business Administration offers specializations in Finance, Organizational Leadership, and Healthcare Finance. Responsibilities :
Teaching a six-eight course load (24-32 credits) per academic year predominantly at the undergraduate level in multiple modalities – Face to Face, Online and/or Hybrid.
Preference will be given to those who, in addition to marketing, are able to teach courses in another discipline such as Operations or Sport Management.
Responsible for developing curriculum, advising students,, and creating relationships within the Philadelphia business community to create job opportunities for Arcadia’s students.
Engage in scholarly pursuits. Arcadia University follows the Boyer Model of Scholarship which focuses on discovery, integration, application, and teaching.
Play a role in supporting the growth of the Marketing major.
Qualifications :
At least a Master’s degree with a specialization in marketing (MS in Marketing, MBA Marketing etc.) and relevant industry experience in the field of marketing or sports
Evidence of effective teaching experience in Marketing at the university level.
Open to a an experience-based, global approach to education
Committed to high quality instruction in a student-centered environment;
A practitioner of inclusive pedagogy and open to teaching in multiple formats (online, Hybrid, etc.)
Faculty are also expected to provide service to the institution and community with the highest professional and ethical standards.
Demonstrated commitment to helping students succeed through engagement in and out of the classroom is expected. is expected.
